Members of The DownBeats share a love for the great tradition of jazz improvisation. Members of The DownBeats have earned their bones in the real life school of performance accross the U.S. and the world, playing styles as varied as Punk, Roots, Blues and Free Jazz in bands such as Bazooka, Rosie Flores, Fear, Mike Watt, The BellRays, The B-Movie Rats, Slackjaw Blues, Carlos Guitarlos, Possum Dixon, DJ Bonebrake and Wayne Kramer. These gents are not snooty jazz puritans, but prefer to let their varied experiences creep into the hothouse environment of their grease drippin' jazz explosion.
