Joe & Bethany blend elements of Folk, Americana, and Country music to craft real life, acoustic-based songs and stories. Both born and raised in New England, they not only draw inspiration from their decade-long friendship turned relationship turned marriage, but also from life before they knew each other. After their 2013 move to Austin, TX to create a life revolving around the creation and performance of music, they developed a deep appreciation for the traveling folk singer-songwriter. This appreciation sparked the idea for a husband-wife acoustic duo and the songwriting began. Lyrics telling of hopes, dreams, reminiscence, and despair are laced with delicate harmonies and surrounded by intricately woven guitar lines throughout.
