After a 3 decade friendship, two San Francisco Bay Area musicians--Dave Bendigkeit (trumpet/flugelhorn) and Denny Berthiaume (piano)--formed a duo devoted to their own compositions and individual arrangements of the Great American Songbook. Mr Bendigkeit has performed with Ella Fitzgerald, Shelly Manne, mel Torme, George Shearing, and Lou Rawls. Producer Ted Gioia says Dave is "an expressive soloist . . . a rare combination of virtuosity and individualism . . . ." Mr Berthiaume has performed with Bobby McFerrin, Diane Schuur, Joe Williams, and Ed Thigpen. KQED-TV's FOCUS MAGAZINE selected Denny as one of the top 10 Bay Area pianists.
