Bossfight is the lead single from First Home (3 June), the debut album from Leeds party starters TC & the Groove Family. Produced by Tom Excell (Nubiyan Twist, ONIPA, Ego Ella May), the track is a fiery interpretation of UK grime, featuring powerful horn arrangements set against a bouncing Trinidadian soca groove - a celebration of the many cultures and creeds represented in the ranks of the group. The lyrics have a dual meaning, representing a collective anger towards the ramifications of Brexit and the UK government, as well as the internal battle between the higher self and the Ego. The ‘Bossfight’ is both against the higher powers and ourselves.
