All of the songs are performed live and semi-acoustic and are taken from a single performance. On January 22, it was announced that Snow Patrol would be playing a special one-off performance at the Apple iTunes Store on Regent Street in London on Friday 13th February, which will then be available to download as an exclusive live EP a week later. Xfm broadcasted the performance in full on February 21 as part of the Xfm Live Hour. The live EP showed up on Snow Patrol's iTunes exactly one week after the performance, on February 19 with an official announcement on the band's website on February 23. As of March 1, 2009, the Xfm broadcast can no longer be heard online. The EP was only available at the UK iTunes store. On March 10, it was announced that the EP will now be available on the US iTunes store as well.
