"Partners For Life" has the exact same musical arrangement and vocal track(s) as "I Want To Be Loved By You". The difference is that a fraction of the lyrical content of "I Want To Be Loved By You" was changed so that "Partners" would be specific to Jimmy's fans within the GLBT community. While in the recording studio recording "I Want To Be Loved By You", Jimmy thought, "I have many fans within the GLBT community who have been so supportive of me throughout my career, I want to do something special, "give-back" to them for their support. I'm making a second version of this song specifically for the community, especially since there's so much talk these days of Gay Marriage". He did just that and now, to Jimmy's surprise, many are referring to "Partners" as the Gay Wedding Anthem. Jimmy recently toured the SouthWest and NorthWestern United States promoting the song which was embraced with such love and emotion. Jimmy held nothing back while in the studio recording this track and that very fact was captured on this disc.
