by Rodney Batdorf Alan Silverstri's score for the Arnold Schwarzenegger action blowout Eraser isn't among his best work -- it doesn't have the wit of the Who Framed Roger Rabbit music, nor is it as sweeping as Back to the Future -- but it is a competent, occasionally thrilling, work. However, it isn't one that works particularly well when separated from the film itself, so the album is only necessary if you're a Silverstri completist or a Schwarzenegger fanatic.
