NXE was born out of an intuitive and emotion led exchange of musical ideas between Endgame and DJ Narciso over the course of a year. Growing out of a shared interest in exploring darkness, melancholy and introspection in dance music, the EP reflects distorted elements of the sounds of their respective home cities in London and Lisbon to create something that is distinctive on its own terms, celebrating the organic cross pollination of sounds of the inner city. DJ Narciso is part of the new wave of Kuduro artists from Lisbon, Portugal, one of the youngest members of Príncipe helping to redefine the genre. He is also founder of his own collective and production crew ‘ RS (Rinchoa Stress) Produções’ along aside Nuno Beats, DJ Nulo, DJ Lima and Farucox. Endgame is producer and Dj from London, co-founder of radical club collective Bala Club, and founder of his own label and NTS radio show Precious Metals, releasing his distinctive heart-on-sleeve’ club constructions on labels such as Hyperdub, PTP, and Planet Mu.
