People Like Us has been called a "Coheed and Cambria meets Protest the Hero" type band. The current band lineup has been writing and recording music together since 2010, releasing a dual concept EP in May of 2013. These two EPs are each 6-song short stories entitled "A Nightmare" and "The Royals". The EPs were engineered, mixed, mastered, and produced by Patrick Simms at Slanty House Studio in Milton, Ontario, Canada. This album has two guest appearance by our good friend Melissa Bel, a fantastic solo artist from our hometown. Melissa can be heard on A Dare, a Chase, an Escape as well as Epilogue; a Doctor's Monologue. Each EP's single has a music video: The Foreword off of The Royals was released first to Youtube on April 13 of 2013, and Batten Down the Hatches of off A Nightmare was released to YouTube on July 28th of 2013.
