Lionel is a West Virginia native, but as a young adult, made Nashville, TN his home. He experienced some early success in country music, but these days he strongly identifies with the indie scene. His style encompasses the many musical mileposts of his life experiences. A multi-instrumentalist, Lionel's music always comes from a personal place. In his words, "It's not business, it's personal." A strong proponent of the freedom that technology has given artists, Lionel maintains "I am more creatively alive than any other time in my life. I am endlessly drawn to the alchemy of transforming life experience into music that speaks to other people."
