Downtempo duo Zero 7 are usually associated with placid, distinctly chill music that fades into the background (almost too) easily, so "On My Own", Henry Binns and Sam Hardakers first single in four years, is quite a nice surprise. The tune is a nine-minute house journey that progresses and opens up patiently, with a back half that loosens up in just the right ways. The 12" single is out next week, August 26, via Make; its backed by another new tune, "Dont Call It Love".
