The Christmas Album is mostly about the acoustic guitar and the vocal (with the exception of a couple of piano based arrangements). I wanted a fairly simple, sparse and easy listening record that would play nicely in everyone's home during Christmas time for years and years to come. Standard Christmas songs make up the majority of the record. There are two originals, which I had an absolute blast writing. One is called "Wrap Her Up for Me". A plea to Santa from a sort of pathetic man. I laughed a lot writing this. You might not bust a gut.. But you'll at least crack a smile. The second original is called "Christmas at Home". Smidi (producer) and I co-wrote this song. We found ourselves somewhat emotional talking and writing about the warmth of "coming out of the cold" to be with our loving families for "Christmas at Home". I hope you enjoy the record.
