His dad owned a butcher shop for 20 years where he lost his middle finger on his fretting hand when he was 8. Following his inspiration from Django Reinhardt, Vito taught himself how to play several instruments nonetheless. He grew up playing punk rock music, but through evolution and maturity, he currently plays old time/americana music with ranges from bluegrass to rag time jazz. Joining Vito and making up the Jacks are: John Trent on Dobro, Ms. Nathalie Elam provides incredible female vocals as well as a strong rhythm guitar, and Mr. Travis Morgan accompanies on the fiddle with a classic pulse raising fever.
