Rack 'em Up is a rockin', fun journey through a set of contemporary country songs that capture the joy of life and love in America's heartland. This CD contains the original Raghat Band versions of several songs that have been cut by global country artists and several more that draw on the tremendous talents of multiple co-writers, and outstanding vocal and musical performances from the Raghat Band. Kevin Reardon has been writing songs for as long as he can remember and has had many of his songs recorded and produced on CDs, TV, film, commercials and stage productions. He plays guitar, keyboards and sings but mainly loves to write because he truly enjoys hearing other artists personalize and invigorate his songs in new and exciting ways. He has released several CDs with musicians from all around the USA over the past several years. Kevin grew up in Michigan at a time when the music industry there was in full force with a variety of great local rock bands like Bob Seger, MC5, Ted Nugent, the Stooges, SRC, Dick Wagner and the Frost, and, of course, all of the great Motown acts. Fusing the Michigan sounds with all of the other music he loved - the Beatles, Brian Wilson, Paul Simon, the Eagles, Bruce Springsteen, Peter Gabriel, the Dead, Willie Nelson, Gram Parsons - as well as jazz, show tunes, standards and classical music, created quite a wide range of styles ... which is still characteristic of his music today. Kevin first got acquainted and fell in love with country and country inspired rock music in Michigan. When he moved to Arizona, he got into Delbert McClinton, Lyle Lovett and all of the amazing Tex-Mex sounds that filled the air there ... further extending his influences. Now today, having moved back east, he has connected with numerous new writers and players from Nashville and fused all of these influences – past and present – into a broad range of Americana and Country music styles that have become his current focus ... but he still enjoys going back to his rock and soul roots. Kevin enjoys collaborating with other writers and artists. The Raghat Band is a global collaborative that puts their collective, creative talents together to bring to life the songs of Kevin Reardon. Together they have created an extended series of CDs and collections of all different styles. The Raghat Band first teamed up with Kevin on the CD titled Movin’ On, which features David Morgan in one or more of his multi-talented capacities. Movin’ On would also not be what it is without the engineering brilliance of Matt Sietz, the vocal mastery of Fonda Feingold and Angel Rissoff, and the guitar wizardry of John “Ratso” Gerardi. David Morgan then took the lead and produced and performed 10 solo piano songs written by Kevin that collectively became known as the CD titled Drifting. Once again Matt Sietz was the engineer and did an outstanding job of capturing David's amazing performance. From there, David, Matt and the band were joined again by Fonda Feingold, Angel Rissoff and Ratso, and others on the double CD titled Heartsongs. Heartsongs contains a wide range of jazz and jazz-blues-rock flavored songs and really shows how The Raghat Band is growing to reach new performance heights. George Smith contributed lyrics to four of the songs. The Raghat Band then took a journey south to release the country music collection titled Rack 'em Up. This CD contains numerous collaborations with many great writers, singers and musicians, with great engineering and session work by Stacy Hogan of A Writers Paradise and Michael Salacuse of Salacuse Studios.
