"Music for Two Pianos" was born out of the need to write music for the spectacular talents of Los Angeles-based pianists, Paul Floyd and Brent McMunn. This music cannot be classified as one thing or another, though it is always compelling. That is its charm - that it is both accessible and engaging, complex and beautiful. "The Landing Places" is written for violinist Simeon Simeonov and pianist Brent McMunn. The title is descriptive of how the music works - that is what makes it "go." The music moves forward harmonically and then "lands" on long moments of stasis; then back to forward motion. Just like life! This album is magically co-produced by Dennis Moody and Bob Rice.
