Optimystic is the first full-length album by the young and upcoming Columbia, SC rapper/producer TK. Throughout the journey Optimystic, TK paints a musical and lyrical picture of the varied struggles faced by boys growing into men. He creatively weaves a collage of based-on-real-life stories that range from experiencing high school parties to that of a drug dealer who watches a close family member burn to death. The tone of TK's all-original music perfectly matches his intense rhyme-scheme-driven tales, and the overall effect of the album is reminiscent of the early works of legendary producer-artists such as Kanye West and MF Doom.
