For Richer Or Poorer (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)
by Stephen Thomas Erlewine Although he tries admirably, composer Randy Edelman ( The Last of the Mohicans , The Mask , While You Were Sleeping ) can't come up with an appropriately funny and entertaining score for the Tim Allen/Kirstie Alley let's-pretend-we're-Amish comedy For Richer or Poorer . Most of the problem is the source material, since there simply can't be an "appropriate" score for a comedy as convoluted as this, but Edelman comes close -- there are some themes and moments on the record that make it worthwhile for dedicated fans of the composer.
