In this album, We emphasize contemporary American jazz and afro-Caribbean rhythms. Larry’s compositions provide a platform and inspiration to apply afro-Caribbean rhythm concepts; such as the R&B/Son Montuno in “Jammin’ in the Boro”, the Mozambique and jazz structure in “Illusions”, and the hybrid concept created as Lajongo (funk jazz/Latin American rhythm) in “Dedicatorias Dos”.
