Electronic Dad Music (feat. DJ No Refills) [Explicit]
It breaks our hearts to announce the end of an era. For the last twelve years we’ve had a lot of ups and downs and the time has finally come for a formal announcement of what many of you already assumed - EDM is dead. What? You thought we were breaking up?! No! EDM is finished. How do we know? Because we made an EDM album...three years ago. This is true. In the winter of 2014, we hired DJ No Refills to record a four song electronic dance EP. We’ve been sitting on it since then, waiting desperately for this day. Now it’s official, we are declaring May 26th, 2017 the day that EDM died. Kind of like Don McLean’s song about Buddy Holly except better. Here are short descriptions of the four songs. “Two Drinks” - Look we’ve got a lot of sh*t going on at work and have to be up early tomorrow with the kids. We can’t be going nuts on a Wednesday night so we wrote the definitive party anthem for people who drink responsibly. “Sampler Platter” - Just admit that at some point in your life you were excited for a sampler platter to show up at your table. We get it! We’ve eaten at Applebee’s and we also wrote a song about the beloved everything tray. “You Can’t Control Me” - Most of parenting is channeling “fake enthusiasm” for animals with underdeveloped brains who, if they want to, can do whatever they want. Put this track on when your kids are being good. “About to Get Real” - If LARPing (Live Action Role Play) is your thing, this song can also be your thing. If you make fun of people who LARP, you might like this as well. Then again, we kind of rap on this one so you might hate it.
