Save Me
After awesome success with his remix of Atomic Brian's Telefono Roto” , his full length album “Girlz Rock da House Music” (Lectro Chik Records 2007) which was nominated best album in South America's Shock Magazine, working alongside Pacha Recordings as a remixer, headlining various Subliminal parties on his Subliminal Sessions Vol.4 tour, and gracing the front covers of both I-DJ and DJ magazine for his chart topping hit “Shiny Disco Balls”, Jorge Jaramillo (Who Da Funk) delivers this awesomely crafted number – “Save Me” on his record label Lectro Chik. Teaming up with house diva and long time Subliminal records powerhouse vocalist Shawnee Taylor, both of these artists have been known to set the standard in the world of house, as they so eloquently do in this release. “Save Me” the original version, is a reminiscent number along the lines of Blaze & Barbara Tucker's “Precious Love” and Copyright & Song Williams “He Is”. “Save Me” a radio-ready, full-on vocals and a back to the old-school approach to arrangement, simple clean and very effective. The Giorgio Maurader-esque synth line and clever bass line hypnotize the listener while Shawnee 's powerful gospel-like vocals punch through the music. Three remixers come on-board to compliment the original version. First up Nino Anthony's electro house monster mix has all the ingredients to fill the floor in any venue. A “hands in the air” remix, able to fit comfortably in any international night club. Next, Robotixxx, with his Dirty, techy, “one light” in the night club and sweat dripping from the ceilings mix. Perfect for the late night set and that late night crowd waiting for you to keep them there, if you know what I mean ;) Last but not least, the disKo loKO mix, a strong high quality peak time belter, laced with electro synth stabs and a solid backing beat to boot. The massive drop, well laid out arrangement and the “Sound of Today” elements makes this cut a chart topper and DJ favorite.
