by Dave Sleger This is the debut album from the Northern Ireland guitarist, singer, and songwriter Iain Archer. Mellow and contemplative, his style is similar to David Wilcox and Brooks Williams. Like those two, Archer's melodies are nice enough and his playing is competent but when the album is finished playing, so are the melodies. Unfortunately, they lack color, dynamics and staying power.
