The theme 'Lift up on high' (L.U.O.H) reoccurs several times throughout the E.P and is taken from track 4, Holy is the Lord. Up on the Hill Based on 2 Samuel 6 The ark of the covenant, being in the hands of the Philistines, finally returns to Israel. This is meant to be David's joyful song for our generation. Today, we have the presence of God, not in a box, but through the person work of Jesus Christ, through His Holy Spirit. "Up on the Hill and over the mountain, lift up His name the king of glory is here" Walk with You A song about the journey of life, based on John Bunyan's classic, Pilgrims Progress. In life, we all go through different mountains and valleys but through Christ, we walk with Him and not alone. The bridge reminds us of the future glory that awaits us; the truth that the same God we walk with here on Earth is the same God that we will spend eternity with. Holy is the Lord Written out of a place of fear and anxiety, the writer returns to the gospel; what Christ has done, and resolves to "Lift Him up on high" and to sing of His holiness. Who was & is & is to come The E.P takes a conceptual turn with spoken word, recorded by local Sydney preacher/ex west end actor Peter De Salles. The scripture reading is from John 3 and features one of the most famous parts of scripture (v16) "For God so loved the world.." Although, heavy in it's theme (at one point, using the sound of nails being driven into a wooden cross), the track reminds listeners that God, despite man's fallen nature, had a plan from the beginning in the promise, death and resurrection of Jesus. Statement of Remission The title track. Sonically, this piece is based on the truth that we only have a limited time to accept Christ as saviour. The song urges the listener to "Lift (Him) up on high" for there will come a time where we will "Behold the Almighty". We will stand before Christ as judge, and our decision to follow Him will have already be made. Behold the Almighty Builds on the truth of the title track. The music is set to the sound of a garden and river flowing with soft echo, "Hallelujah, Behold the Almighty". After hearing the ruling nature of Christ, "seated at the right hand of the Father" and "reign(ing) over all", the E.P finishes, as 7 bells ring; leaving the listener with the decision to follow Christ.
