Descendants of old west pioneers, Stockton & Post hail from northern California and share the same parental DNA. The brother, a denizen of Berkeley, California, uses piano, ukulele, string, and wind instruments to set a path for his sister in Austin, Texas, to create and deliver modern melodies. She uses her words, voice, and other random sounds to regale us with stories of bank robbers, the Donner party, and domestic pets with unusual names. Living two thousand miles apart from each other doesn't stop Stockton & Post from delivering cohesive pop songs that will stick with you, like shampoo containing super glue. As children the siblings were strong-armed by their musical parents into learning the piano and flute. Eventually, they both fell in love with classical music, and later added indie rock, hip-hop, and soul to their repertoire, as well. Both have been in previous bands, and have collaborated with well-known musicians. His most recent collaboration was with Bay Area Hip-Hop artist Lyrics Born. The duo also did music composition for award-winning short films including Pedro Falls (2012) and Falling Star (2013). He has been a voting member for the GRAMMY awards since 2011.
