Caledonian Shadows was nominated by the Washington Area Music Association for the best traditional folk album of 2011. It is a compilation of original and traditional folk music and pays homage to Jim & Holly's ancestors. The famous ballad "Tam Lin" is rendered in a "mini folk rock opera." "The Brownies" is "Coulter's Candy" transformed into an encounter with Caledonia's famous sprite. "The Green Man of Knowledge" is a wholly original tune about an encounter with a rather grumpy denizen of the wood. The collection contains great vocal harmonies, great instruments from several guest artists, and great stories.
