I love jazz! I love the challenge of having to improvise, to make up coherent and interesting and funky musical phrases on the spot! Now I've entered the world of jazz composition where my challenges are: keeping it simple; making it intimate, yet universally appealing; creating something worth listening to, that will actually contribute to the people hearing it. My favorite composers and musicians all did that for me - especially Antonio Carlos Jobim and Stan Getz, Dexter Gordon, Thelonious Monk and Lonnie Liston Smith. I am grateful to God and my family and friends for all that they contribute to this process.
