No Brake Theory - EP
From a small town named Gorham in Northern NH, on the outskirts of town in a forested neighborhood close to Mt. Washington. I grew up loving music and the natural world around me. At a young age I would hum and sing along with the radio, memorizing lyrics and melodies by ear. I first learned to read music in elementary school and began playing the Alto Saxophone at age eleven. Shortly after, my Grandfather gave me my first acoustic guitar as a gift. I had no real training in the beginning but loved to play that guitar. Without any doubt in my mind, determination, a beginner book and a love for music I started to learn the guitar and create my own songs. I began to write poetry that turned into lyrics that later became reflections of my own life experiences and dreams. I continued to play the Alto Saxophone all through high school and also learned the Baritone Saxophone. I played guitar, wrote songs for and sung as the front man in several rock bands throughout high school, college and thereafter. My writing style has been influenced by singer songwriters like Harry Chapin and John Mayer, by rock legends like John Lennon and Paul McCartney, by the punk rock politics of Green Day and Rise Against and by the diversity and poetry of bands like The Smashing Pumpkins, Thrice and The Deftones. I continue to write, perform, collaborate with other musicians and record music. More recently I’ve been getting into other aspects of the music industry such as sound engineering, networking, music business, copyrights and production. Music is always on my mind, in my ears and in my soul. Music is my voice, all I need is the right person to hear what I have to say.
