He's shared the bill with the likes of Bon Jovi, Shinedown, Sponge, and many others. He's been personally invited to audition for a multi-platinum selling band. He fronted one of the most successful Pennsylvania bands of the past decade. It seems like Manian Van Hacker has accomplished a lot in the past 10 years, but if you ask local music veterans, they will tell you that he is just now finding his own voice. Manian's first mission was to find the best band available, The Monumentals. His best of the best includes Jim Bedorf (Weapons for Peace/Ducky and the Vintage) on drums, Curtis Tankerlsey (Condition K/Ducky and the Vintage) on bass, and Derek Euston (the Underwater/Digital Elvis) on guitar. Manian & the Monumentals were now a reality. The next mission was to showcase the diversity and poetry of the original acoustic compositions in a full band setting. What the band did not know at the time was how natural and easy this process would be. Within a matter of months, the band was playing to enthusiastic crowds and warm reviews. It didn't take a lot of deliberation to make the decision to put these songs on an EP. The album came together very quickly with a combination of tracks recorded in home studios and The Green Room. The Crime and the Season is a unique set of six songs recorded that reflects many of the band's influences including the blues, 50's and 60's rock, glam and modern rock, and even a little bossa nova.
