More of You (feat. Valon & Christina)
Rondel Hemesh Holder, a.k.a DiSi, was born to Ronley Hillary Holder and Dellon Patricia Adams on August 20, 1995 in Georgetown, Guyana. He spent the first five years of his life in the village of Ann's Grove, located approximately twenty miles outside the capital city of Georgetown, on the East Coast of Demerara. At the age of five, he did his first solo to an audience of one, his grandmother (father's mother), who recognized and praised his talent when he sang R.Kelly's hit single, 'The storm is over'. He later migrated to Jamaica with his grandparents (mother's parents) and uncles for two years. It was in these two years of his life, that his love for music grew as he was introduced to the music of gospel artistes such as Papa San, Prodigal Son and Chevelle Franklin. He returned to Guyana at the tender age of seven and was reintegrated into the Church of God of Prophecy in Ann's Grove where his mother encouraged him to do solo pieces at church. Dedicated to his craft, he found himself the lone member of the worship team at church one Sunday morning and the Lord used him to minister to the congregation. However, the defining moment of his Christian walk was the day he received the holy spirit with the evidence of speaking in new tongues. His entire perception of worship changed and he no longer saw it as just service to the church. It became an extension of his relationship with God. As the years progressed and the hip-hop culture started to infiltrate Christian music, he found himself gravitating to artistes such as Lecrae, Flame and Richie Righteous. The lyrics were so genuine to him and for the first time in his life, he began writing songs. He started with rap verses which, surprisingly, came more naturally than singing verses. By the age of 16, he was able to write songs in multiple genres; Hip-Hop, Soca, Reggae and Contemporary worship. Today, he is aspiring to bring a new and fresh sound to the world. With his talents in multiple genres, his aim is to glorify God with a new sound; something the world has never heard before. His motto: TRY TO LIVE RIGHT, STRIVE TO BE HOLY.
