’Summer’s Not That Simple’ is a collection of intimate conversations. Most of the songs were written in a small spare room in the summer of 2016 and were recorded in the winter at Digital Forest Studio. The album is one that summons and surrenders. It is a quiet call to the wild; an attempt to keep the soft animal alive. The Lost Boys (Andre Leo, Lucas Swart, Calvin Siderfin and Werner von Waltsleben) have been working with Lucy in various forms for many years and have become her sonic sub-conscious. The sound drifts between the bareness of the acoustic guitar and the darker psychedelic approach of the band - the air and the earth. The effect is one of a dreamscape - each instrument slipping into the next to create the shifting and familiar landscape that exists throughout the album.
