The duo, Dr. Kmer (producer/writer from Vicenza, Italy) and Jimmy Roland (vocalist/writer from Los Angeles, Ca.); decided to release their first Christmas track, "It's Christmastime". Roland states that he fell in love with the music the moment Kmer sent it to him. It took Jimmy Roland all of thirty minutes to write the lyrics to the instrumental, as the words began coming to mind during his first listen. Another contributing factor to this speedy writing process is that Christmas is JR's favorite holiday. He says that he never really had a real Christmas, as a child but was always attracted to the bright, colorful lights and tree decorations he would see. We believe these childhood memories are what Jimmy pulled from as he recorded the track. You can hear it in the vocals as they pull you into the song. The track begins with Jimmy Roland's "spoken word" dialogue, followed by spine tingling vocals, powerful lyrics and Dr. Kmer's attention-grabbing production. The opening spoken-word section will surely grab the kid's attention. You'll also find yourself humming the chorus long after the CD player has stopped.
