Sarah White & The Pearls released a 5-song EP entitled You're It and have recently completed a full-length recording (not yet released). File Under: Indie Rock-Folk, Singer-Songwriter, Acoustic Like White's earlier CDs (see jagjaguwar.com), The Pearls are difficult to classify. The genre is rock, but there's still a hint of country. Some songs veer toward punk, but others are melodic waltzes. The stripped down instrumentation of the trio lends itself to a variety of moods; the lyrics, full of the "blurred identity or emotional hedging of bets that has become White's calling card," are stronger than ever.
