See: theautopsyreport.heavymetalradio.net Afterlife was featured band "Brew of The Week" on the first page of www.thebeerpit.com A well known website for pro hard rock bands, pro-gothic models, and discussion of premium beer drinking. Also Afterlife is endorsed by Halo Guitars whom is well known for Nikki Sixx and Traci Guns band Brides of Destruction and just recently signed up the guitarist for Danzig. A four piece metal band from the unlikely town of Fort Smith, Arkansas who takes their name from the most debated subject in the world. Their music is a unique storm cloud that pummels you with a hailstorm then caresses you with a calm winter breeze. Formed in 1997 under the moniker Claymore, the oppression of being raised in a rural, bible-belt community was just what they needed to conjure convincingly ferocious guitar riffs, thundering and yet intricate drum beats, and undeniably truth felt vocal melodies and lyrics from two lead vocalists both male and female. Their music brings you on journeys through dark caves and swamps and then into delicate winter forests. Though it is difficult to say one band's name in history when trying to define Afterlife's sound, they do cite many broad influences, such as: Slayer, The Beatles, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Cradle of Filth, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Monster Magnet, Tool, Jane's Addiction, Fear Factory, Godsmack, Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Ozzy, Testament, Iron Maiden, Slipknot. Though their hometown is not their ideal demographic, they have already become one of "the" well-known bands in Fort Smith. They spent two years working with a nonpaying indie label out of Oklahoma City called Infinite Records, where they were exposed to many large audiences in Oklahoma and received overwhelming admiration after their intense stage performances. They've been included on 2 Infinite Records CD compilations Vol. 1 & 2, also Music Fort Smith's Homegrown CD Compilation 2005, and one of their songs is to be featured on the CD sampler included in issue #91 of the international magazine Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles which is sold in every Tower Records and Hastings worldwide, and many smaller local compilations. Their music has been rotated on 95.3 the X in Fort Smith, 104.5 the Edge in Tulsa, OK, and 100.5 KATT in Oklahoma City, OK. The band is so driven to sharing their music with the world, they have even given away over 1,500 four song CD-Rs as gifts with flyers for their shows. The release of their already critically acclaimed full length CD "From the Outside In E Minor" has already demonstrated their potential to become among the great historical icons of American rock. Just since its release in late February of 2005 they've gotten numerous offers for shows in elite metal clubs in big cities like New Orleans LA, The Curtain Club in Dallas, TX , Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, OK and many others in their touring region. Also in Dallas they met up with Sterling Winfield, producer of Pantera, Damageplan and many other greats, who has now since remastered 'From the Outside in E minor', giving it an even more brilliant shine of production. And most recently, Afterlife signed a contract with Halo Guitars for an endorsement deal. And recieved praise from Kerry King of Slayer.
