The Vision is a guitar instrumental, performed by Michael Cantwell and myself... Craig Smith. I wrote the basic sketch of the piece and Michael and I created an improvised, one take recording that we felt expressed the concepts and feelings in the theme used as the cover art. The Cover Art is an original photo of my hands printed ( as a finger print is done)... on to a thin piece of hand made paper, then illuminated from behind by select lighting passing through the print. The image of the moon was then added... which I had taken over 20 years before with a 35mm "film" camera mounted on a telescope. The guitars used on this recording were only two... Michael on a stratocaster style electric guitar and myself on an acoustic electric classical nylon string. Both were played in a finger style only, no pick... to achieve the maximum of potential of the technique of two peoples four hands at work.
