Although Nate Leslie grew up with formal musical training beginning with piano at only 8 years old, his passion didn’t explode until he picked up guitar, bass, and drums. It was then new doors opened for him as a songwriter. Leslie’s history as a songwriter and solo artist is closely tied to his many years as front man for Chicago based band, Paradigm. He also spent years as a bass player for a band called Black Canvas. As those bands began slowing down, Leslie found himself wanting to continue creating and releasing music without limitations. He now released his material as a one man band writing, performing, and recording all the material himself.
