The tracks selected for this label have been produced to shake clubs to their very foundation. The overall aim is to create a positive reaction in the listener. However we have no interest in releasing music that are simply throw away tracks. We are honoured to have HYDE (courtesy of Double UV Recordings) launch us with a Remix of an Urban Science Recordings favourite New Era. NEW ERA RMX The intro to this track instantly reminds the listener of the original track written and produced by DJ JAZZ-E (Urban Science Recordings). There are synths that are layered on strings in this piece that present the familiar melody of NEW ERA. However this is where the similarities stops as the drum and bass elements have been reworked by HYDE. This is a true remix which pays homage to all the parts of the original that people liked but the with HYDE's twist. Like many of HYDEs productions the track is far from a monotonous repetitive piece of music so many are famous for. Hyde like Jekyll has a light and dark side. New Era demonstrates Hydes ability to lead the listener in one direction then to flip it. This remix is a danceable tune but also is an interesting piece that the listening audience will enjoy. REACTIV FORMS The DJ friendly drum intro beats a tribal rhythm that stomps through the listeners speakers. This is backed up by sound effects and atmosphere that has an old school feel. The sprinkling of an Amen Break only helps strengthen this feeling. However, there is a haunting melody and twisted bassline that gives an unusual twist to this track. In true Hyde fashion this is again not a repetitive piece but an interesting journey along a dark path. As with New Era the track changes its flow about mid-way this adds interest to the beat pattern. Reactiv Forms vocal samples are woven into the track not only giving it identity but helping create a darker atmosphere.
