I Can't Dance
Dory & The Weathermen, from Alberta, Canada, specialize in unique arrangements of classic rock songs. Performing regularly in Southern Alberta, the core has been together four years, doing both commercial and charity supported events. Two previous recordings are on CD Baby and dozens of other sources, and their youtube video for their version of Hit The Road Jack has now received positive unsolicited compliments from people in 48 countries. Dory Rossiter lead vocals (winner of Canada's Governor General Award for Public Service) Allan Wilson guitar and vocals (teacher, nationally published writer) Keith Duff drums (funniest drummer since Ringo) Bill Weiler guitar and vocals (his father was a multi talented big band musician) Reid Seibert bass and vocals (teacher, songwriter, and in the 70's his band opened shows for Tina Turner and the Guess Who) Bruce Mackay keyboards and vocals (professor with a Masters degree from Harvard, been playing in bands since the 70's) Dory & The Weathermen have done concerts and dances in support of Special Olympics, Lethbridge Family Services, Children's Wish Foundation, the Down Syndrome group, and the YMCA, among others. There is also a seventh member of the band, David Rossiter, sound engineer and professional photographer, whose work has appeared all across Canada. Seven years ago and three years before Dory & The Weathermen, there was the band Moon Dancer, with Dory, Allan and Keith and three others. Although that group is inactive and not promoted, their 12 songs are still being downloaded and streamed all over the world, and a number of those songs are still performed by Dory & the Weathermen. Current information can be obtained by going to Dory&TheWeathermen Facebook page--note that it is all one word, due to the fact that Hollywood producers of the film Finding Dory locked down many Facebook pages for their purposes. "We do it because we love it."
