Solitary Moments paints many pictures. The words are packed with images and the music perfectly reflects the story being told. Al Cohen's scratchy, bluesy voice is filled with world weary realism and brings to life those "solitary moments" we all have late night, driving in a car, staring at the water or just walking down the street. It also pays homage to the man that is brave enough to stand alone in world in which it is much easier to just join the crowd, institution or politcal group that doesn't promote individual thinking. Very reflective and spiritual in nature. The guitar playing is stellar and the arrangements are soulful and sweet.
