Martin Kinrus is a Producer, sound designer and DJ from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Backing up releases on Octopus Recordings, Set About, Phobos Records and several others, Martin now opens his account with Victor Ruiz’s burgeoning VOLTA imprint, delivering an impressive dose of energetic avant-garde techno prowess across four tracks that make up his ‘Cosmic Energy’ EP. Leading with the title track, ‘Cosmic Energy’ is a pacy ethereal number with rippling bass tones and sweeping melodic textures from start to finish. Its hypnotic vocal hook and pulsating synths blend seamlessly into several atmospheric breaks and harrowing drops to carve out a gripping peak-time weapon. ‘Invincible’ comes next, bringing more interplanetary vibes from the outset. Another captivating exhibition of racy melodic-focused Techno crammed with gritty resonance and coarse electronic creativity, its tight drums and crisp percussive drive make the perfect match for its rich tapestry of musicality. ‘Do It Yourself’ is another dark and dreamy number from Kinrus, built around thick drum grooves, fizzing hat grooves and roughened harmonies.
