Grace is a 15 year old singer-songwriter from Omaha, Nebraska. Her sound is a culmination of jazz, blues, folk and pop, reminiscent of Norah Jones, Sara Bareilles and Amy Winehouse. Her long, soulful drawls have been compared to a Midwestern Adele with a knack for connecting with her audience on a personal level. Initially, Grace was a closet singer and stuck to closed doors. When she finally came out of her shell, she recalls being hooked for the big stage ever since. Her shows are focused on honesty and vulnerability, where she captivates and silences a room with her voice. The intimacy and connectivity Grace shares with her audiences stem beyond a quick song and dance and into a transformative release of emotion and expression. In her younger years, Grace wasn’t given an ipod like her two older siblings, but after begging for years, her father gifted her a mini CD player with two tracks; The Lion King and Come Away with Me by Norah Jones. Jones’ voice quickly impacted Grace and does to this day, noticeable in her performances and recordings. Grace has always found music to be an evocative force in her world, adding meaning to the little moments and establishing connections between the human spectrum of emotions. “My ambition is to live like music,” she said. “When I think that I’m not strong enough or I’m not ready, I just have to say “jump!” I have to trust myself. So I jumped, and now I’m here, growing my music and growing within myself at the same time.” While building her solo career, Grace is currently the lead singer of two performing acts: Us and Them, an 8 piece blues ensemble, and Grace & Logan, an acoustic duo. She has performed at venues such as: The Nebraska State Fair, the CenturyLink Center, 21st Saloon, Jazz on the Green, Sumter Amphitheater, Playing With Fire, Ralston Arena, the Slowdown, the Waiting Room, and yonder. She has graced many stages once occupied by headlining names that are sure to be considered peers in the coming years. Grace has been writing songs since age 13.
