Craig Bratley adds the Foto imprint to his already impressive list of labels with the midnight bump of The Sound. Thumping, crunching drums push the title track all the way across the A Side, with an intermittent vocal hook that sounds like its been lifted from a car sales commercial bouncing around the heavily insistent key stabs and swoops of filtered chord washes. It's a muscular start to the twelve which takes a drop into darkness on the B Side pressurised jack of "Get Up" with a pulsating low end throb letting the thick layers of pots and pans rhythms do the work - real warehouse vibes on this one, especially when the devilish lines of analogue acid start to filter through. FOTO boss OOFT rounds matters off with a smudged out take on the title track that provides a neat contrast between the frost bottom end and crisp drum patterns.
