Keep Thinkings fifth release welcomes both Castano & Deepfunk onto the roster. Castano opens up proceedings with French Hello, a solid house number which flirts with a rather unmistakeable tech groove. Reverse synthesis and carefully placed filters appear throughout this melodically driven original, with a simplistic vocal that is in keeping with the feel good factor. The remix of this work is delivered by Deepfunk, who has provided a stellar interpretation, blending a mesmerising groove that develops into a fully blown atmospheric lift off. The second story to this release comes in the form of Specta. Originally written as a back room bubbler, Castano has edited the main breakdowns of this mix to widen out the lead, which works well to provide a well deserved breather before delving back into the subtle but enchanting backdrops. Deepfunk has turned Specta into a fully blown late night journey, offering a beautiful mix of crescendos and hypnotic arpeggiated synths, the result of which provides a mixture of naturally refreshing, driven leads, rounding off the release in style.
