Shadowyze is a Grammy nominated rap singer who has also won four Native American Music awards. He teamed up with Oliver W. Tuthill Jr. when Tuthill was shooting his documentary Wounded Heart: Pine Ridge and the Sioux on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Tuthill, and award winning writer and composer is writing songs of historical significance for Shadowyze to perform. Both he and Tuthill thought that by bringing Shakespeare's most famous play, Hamlet, to song, they could reach an audience that has not read any of Shakespeare's works. Shadowyze has put out several albums including Spirit Warrior, World of Illusions and Bumpy Roads. Tuthill used to open for the rock group Styx, and has recorded with Steppenwolf and John Mayall. His album Acoustic Concerto was released in 2005. This is their first release working together. They are both believe strongly in American Indian rights and education for youth.
