Kuukou Records is the 'Techno for Techno' project run by Romanian born DJ Simina Grigoriu. The core ethos of the project is to provide an outlet for bold, armoured Techno that carries weight and depth in equal measures. Previous releases have come from myriad nations with the next in line coming from Italian producer Sisko Electrofanatik. Sisko is an artist who has truly earned his stripes. He's held down multiple residencies over the years, earned several accolades including Best Techno Producer at the Dance Music Awards, Italy and runs his own imprint GAIN Records. Throughout an illustrious career he's continued to hone his skills and refine his craft and his latest offering for Kuukou evinces this. A well balanced kick, fierce FX and jagged blobs of acid roll out while a trippy vocal is steadily filtered into focus. Percussion and filters are cleverly handled throughout in order to generate unrelenting energy in a track that will neatly slot into many DJ sets keeping tension on the dance-floor percolating.
