Katherine Hughes and Collins Trier are two very versatile musicians who both write and play together on this CD. Collins is an accomplished double bassist who has held his position in the orchestra of the Lyric Opera of Chicago for over twenty years. He was introduced to the hammered dulcimer at an early age and has played it and written for it since he was ten. He plays electric bass and sings some background vocals on the CD as well! Katherine plays the violin and is known in Chicago for performing in many settings and covering many styles of music. She sings on two songs, "I Think of You" and "Summer". "Summer" appears as well on Katherine's new CD, "the four seasons," but in a much different arrangement.
