Tracks like "Steps" and "Up & Away" (and many others) are even catchy, despite their deeply serious messages. The Comprehensive Guide to Moderne Rebellion is SoCal hardcore for the thinking punk, but the music is good enough on its own to satisfy even those who don't read the words.
