London-based producer Muca announces Like This Before, a new collaboration with acclaimed singer Celeste Caramanna and legendary Brazilian Bossa Nova guitarist Roberto Menescal. This marks Muca’s second track with Menescal and the beginning of his most ambitious project yet—an entire album with Menescal and emerging global artists, aiming to refresh Bossa Nova for future generations.Muca first teamed up with Menescal in 2021 for Until We Meet Again, featuring Alice SK. The track gained praise from Songwriting Magazine and Songlines Magazine, received BBC airplay, and surpassed 1 million streams. Now, Muca follows up with Like This Before, a modern yet authentic take on Bossa Nova.The track blends Menescal’s iconic guitar style with Celeste’s rich, delicate vocals, demonstrating how a 60-year-old genre remains timeless. Muca flew to Rio to record with Menescal before selecting Celeste as the perfect vocalist. The choice was obvious—Muca first saw Celeste perform alongside Menescal at Pizza Express Live in London.
