3D FRIENDS is an indie-pop band founded in Austin, TX by multi-instrumentalist Dan C. Wright. Wright started 3D FRIENDS as a solo endeavor (on Nov. 2nd, 2009) and the moniker 3D FRIENDS can also refer to Wright himself. Wright received major recognition for 3D FRIENDS just a year after it's conception, when his song "Lina Magic" was used as the theme song for MTV's "Skins". 3D Friends' first full length album “Imaginative Things” was released in September of 2011 via Hype Records (Extreme Music/Sony ATV). Since then, the album has been critically acclaimed, and has received dozens of placements on TV, including hit shows “Jersey Shore” (MTV), and “Revenge” (ABC). “Outta Austin, Texas, comes 3D Friends aka singer-songwriter Daniel Chavez Wright, the least Austin-like artist you’ve ever heard... This is a guy who has his finger on the pulse.” proclaims Chief Creative Consultant for Hype Music, Nic Harcourt (deemed “The Most Influential DJ in America”). Wright now lives in Los Angeles (as of Nov. 2015) and has been working on a follow up album to release in 2017.
