Mississippi Poor Boy
Blues Hall of Fame Member recorded one his favorite Gospel songs, Mississippi Poor Boy, during the sessions for the critically acclaimed and award winning album Soul Brothers which he made with Johnny Rawls. It was to be a single on a solo album that was never made due to the untimely death of Otis in January 2016. It is stripped down, hard blues style Gospel, with the passionate voice of Otis out front backed by Johnny Rawls and Janelle Thompson singing background vocals. Otis started out as a Gospel singer and this song provides an appropriate ending.
