I wrote this song while in a very unhappy place in my life. It was very therapeutic to produce, and even more so to listen to. Every time you put on an old record, it sounds a little different, depending on where you are in your life. It’s not just laying there like a static thing. You’re casting a new context on it. I think that this song gives the listener a sense of movement, of time, and in doing so helps people travel into their past, or imagine their future. I hope that this song will bring as much joy and release to people as it did to me.
