My parents say, "you can always come home." So, one lonely night I filled my car with everything I owned and began driving home. After 16 hours of the 18-hour drive, I saw a familiar sign to a favorite Texas restaurant, shook my head as if to say, "...good ole' Texas", and said the name...Texas. There was a thump-thump-thump-thump, beat playing on the radio station and there, driving on I-10 in the dark of night, I stated chanting...Texas!!! From that moment on, my spirits were lifted and I haven't been able to wipe the smile off my face since. This is the kind of song that comes along rarely in ones life. It celebrates the Great State of Texas in a way that everyone can appreciate, but only a true Texan can understand. And honestly, I think it is hilarious, but you be the judge of that. I am thankful to be a part of this new Texas Anthem, and hope you have as much fun enjoying it as I had making it. Thank you and God Bless the Great State of Texas!!!
